We have been greatly blessed with the opportunity to purchase a home. In putting this blog together I realized how nice of a house we were able to get and that all the turmoil of the last 5 months has been worth it. I know that there are many out there who are never afforded the blessing of having their own home, so I really need to count my blessings. We hope it will be a place of much happiness and many fond memories for our family and all who come to visit -that's not a subtle invitation by the way. Many of our happy memories in East Lansing were due to all the great family and friends who entered our home, so we hope they will continue here in Missouri. We may only be able to offer you our couch to sit on since that is the only furniture we really own, but we will be over joyed to have you there even if you have to sit on the floor (you may think differently however). Since we know you all can't come this weekend to help paint and redecorate, we wanted to let you see our newest purchase so.....

congrats meg - it is such a lovely home! i want it. :) but, alas, i can only dream of such a home. . .
i wish i could come out, sans kids, and help you decorate your new home. how fun for you guys! i guess i'll just have to come out one day and just relax there, instead of "working." sounds pretty good to me!
the playground in the backyard - exact same as ours! watch the "big pink slide," it's pretty sketchy there at the end for the little ones. i want a mattress set at the bottom to help cushion the ladings/falls. :)

Congratulations! You did it! It looks like such a nice house and I'm sure you're enjoying every bit of it. One day I will escape my little box, but for now, it will have to do!
